About Me

Welcome to A Healthier You Counseling Center! I’m Kevin B. Stachowiak, MSW, LMSW, a licensed therapist with 29 years of experience helping people like you work through life’s challenges. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next steps, I’m here to provide support and guidance in a safe, caring space. In this environment, you can truly be yourself.

I believe that therapy is about more than just solving problems—it’s about helping you better understand yourself, build healthier relationships, and create the life you want. Every person’s journey is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and goals. Together, we’ll work on finding the tools and strategies that work best for you.

My Approach

My goal is to make therapy a positive and empowering experience for you. I know it can feel intimidating to open up about personal struggles, but I’ll meet you where you are—with compassion, understanding, and zero judgment. Therapy is a partnership, and we’ll work together to explore what’s holding you back. We will also discuss how to move forward. I use proven techniques that can help with managing anxiety, improving communication in relationships, or coping with big life changes. More importantly, I focus on building a connection with you so that you feel comfortable and supported every step of the way.

My Qualifications

As the only therapist at A Healthier You Counseling Center, I bring nearly three decades of experience to my work. Over the years, I’ve helped individuals, couples, and families navigate everything from everyday stress to major life challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and am licensed as an LMSW in Michigan. I also stay up-to-date with the latest research and tools in mental health so that I can offer the best possible care. Beyond my qualifications, what really matters is that I care deeply about helping people. I know how hard it can be to take that first step toward getting help. When you’re ready, I’ll be here to walk alongside you.

My Commitment

From the moment you walk into my office at 10751 S. Saginaw Street, Suite L in Grand Blanc, Michigan, my goal is to make you feel welcome and at ease. Seeking help isn’t always easy—it takes courage—but I’m committed to making the process as comfortable as possible for you. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable or overwhelming. That’s why I strive to create a space where you feel respected, supported, and truly heard. If you’re ready to start feeling better or just want to learn more about how therapy works, reach out today. Let’s take this journey together.
