Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

What ages do you work with?

Clients age 12 and up — teens, adults, couples, and families. Group therapy is the one exception: groups are for adults 18 and older.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes — secure video sessions across Michigan and 4 other states (ME, NJ, MN, ID), plus in-person sessions in Grand Blanc.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. If a session is canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or if you don't attend, the full session fee may be charged. Life happens, so let me know as early as you can and we'll sort it out.

Do you take insurance?

Yes, most major plans (see Fees & Insurance). I also offer self-pay and can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.

How much does therapy cost?

Self-pay rates are $150 for the initial intake and $125 for an individual, couples or family session. Group sessions are $100 and workshops are $125. Sliding-scale options are available in some cases — please ask.

How long is a session?

Individual, couples and family sessions run 45 to 60 minutes. Workshops are 90 minutes, and groups run 90 minutes in four-week blocks. The exact length depends on the service billed, and I'll confirm it when you schedule so you know before you arrive.

Do you offer a consultation?

Yes — a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit before you book.

What can I expect in the first session?

A relaxed conversation about what brought you in and what you're hoping for. We'll go at your pace — no pressure, no judgment.

Are you LGBTQ+ affirming?

Yes. I provide affirming care for all identities, and offer gender-affirming evaluations and letters of support when appropriate.

What issues do you treat?

Anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, OCD, ADHD, grief, identity and gender, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress, life transitions, and more.

Do you have evening or weekend availability?

Yes — limited evening and weekend appointments are available.

How do I get started?

Use the Request Appointment button or call (810) 207-5384. I'd be honored to help. Not sure how to choose? See how to find a therapist in Grand Blanc.

What if I'm in crisis?

This website and portal are not for emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
