Serving Flint & Genesee County
Therapy for Flint, Michigan Residents
A short drive south on Saginaw Street, or no drive at all — in-person sessions in Grand Blanc and secure video anywhere in Michigan.
Close enough to be practical
The office is at 10751 S. Saginaw St., Suite L in Grand Blanc — straight down Saginaw from Flint, with free parking on site and a wheelchair-accessible entrance. For most people coming from Flint it is a short, familiar drive rather than a trip across the county.
If the drive is the obstacle, it doesn’t have to be part of the arrangement. Secure video sessions work for most of what I do, and plenty of clients mix the two — in person when it suits, video when the day is full or the weather is bad.
I’m Kevin B. Stachowiak, MSW, LMSW, a Michigan-licensed psychotherapist in solo private practice. I began practising in 1995, including two decades as Lead Psychotherapist at a hospital-based behavioral health center here in Genesee County.
What I offer Flint clients
The same practice, whichever direction you come from: individual therapy from age 12, couples and family work, adult groups and workshops. Most major insurance is accepted, including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare and Medicaid, and I’m currently welcoming new clients — which in this area is not a given.
Appointments run to 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday and Saturday mornings, so sessions don’t have to cost you a working day.
Other Genesee County resources
I’m one option among several, and a solo private practice isn’t the right fit for everyone. If you need community mental health, crisis services, substance use treatment or help you can reach today, there is a fuller list here: mental health resources in Genesee County →
If you’re not sure what you need, a short conversation usually sorts it out faster than more searching. I’m glad to point you elsewhere if elsewhere is better.

Do I have to travel to Grand Blanc?
No. Secure video sessions are available anywhere in Michigan, and many clients mix video and in-person depending on the week.
