A safe, affirming space to be fully yourself — including gender-affirming care and letters of support — in person in Grand Blanc or by secure video across Michigan.
You're welcome here, exactly as you are
Finding a therapist who truly gets it shouldn't be hard — but for many LGBTQ+ people, it is. Here, your identity is understood and respected from the first conversation. You won't have to come out on the defensive, explain the basics, or wonder whether you're really accepted. This is a space where you can simply be yourself and focus on what brought you in.
I'm Kevin B. Stachowiak, MSW, LMSW, a recognized OutCare Affirming Provider, and I've spent more than 30 years offering care rooted in respect and dignity for people of all identities and experiences. I provide affirming therapy — never conversion therapy of any kind.

Gender-affirming care
Evaluations & letters of support
For clients seeking gender-affirming medical care, I provide gender-affirming evaluations and letters of support when it's clinically appropriate, working collaboratively with you and your medical team. More than paperwork, this is a supportive process focused on your goals, your readiness, and your wellbeing — at a pace that respects where you are in your journey.
How therapy helps
Affirming, evidence-based, and yours
Affirming therapy starts from a simple place: there is nothing about you that needs fixing. Together we make sense of your experiences and build resilience, drawing on evidence-based approaches like CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness, with an understanding of how minority stress and discrimination can affect mental health. Whether you're working through something specific or just want a therapist who sees you clearly, you set the direction. See all therapy services →
